Christmas and the New Year are nearly here! 2024 has gone by so fast hasn’t it? Between trade shows, welcoming new staff, overseas training and celebrating our 30th anniversary, it’s been a big year for AusProof!

Obviously we have to start with one of the big ones this year, our 30th anniversary! Yup, 30 years since Wendy and Philip Marks founded AusProof and began their journey of providing safe and innovative cable coupler solutions to the Australian market. It’s been a long journey for them, as well as Managing Director Aston Marks, but their passion and dedication has built AusProof into what it is today. Thanks, guys!

2024 has been a busy year, between attending domestic trade shows such as The Electric Mine, MESC QLD and WA, Copper to the World and QME Mackay, to jetting all the way over to Vegas for MINExpo 2024, joined by members from our sister branches all around the world. These chances to interact with members of the industry are so important to us, as it allows as to talk face-to-face with those that know the industry best, whether at the stand or casually over a beer, to hear your ideas, questions and concerns. If we saw you at any of these events, thanks for popping by and saying hello!

Attending MINExpo in Las Vegas wasn’t the only overseas adventure AusProof had this year, with training conducted by members from AusProof and KableX in Germany, Denmark and the Philippines.

One moment of 2024 we will never forget is when, through AusProof’s sister branch KonNx UK, our couplers were chosen and trusted to be used on Europe’s biggest tunnelling projects. ‘It’s nice when, with all the decisions you’ve had to make, the little ones and big ones, you’re company is chosen, as it proves we know what we’re doing, that we do have a good product,’ says Managing Director Aston Marks.

2024 has seen a lot of change and growth, and with growth comes growing pains. To assist our sister branch in the USA, KonNx Inc., two members of the AusProof team transferred overseas to provide the necessary support to keep things running smoothly. In order to do the same here, and ensure that minimal disruption was felt to industries here at home, three new representatives were brought on board in WA, QLD, and NSW. We wanted to note this and say thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition period.

There’s been a lot of small victories behind the scenes throughout the year too. These small victories have helped us continue to improve our internal manufacturing processes and increase our in-house testing facilities.

We’ve said thank you a few times now throughout this post, but we’re going to say it one more time. 2024 was a massive year, and there were a few changes to adapt to throughout the year. This year would not have been what it was without your patience, understanding, and support. From everyone here at AusProof, we want to say a great, big, sincere thank you! Enjoy the Christmas and New Year, however you are spending it, and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2025!
