AusProof’s Product Notification Alert PDF of our Compound 53.

There has recently been some changes made to PN 4135 – Compound 53 (4.2 Litres), please see below:

•  The compound is now 4.2 Litres (It was originally 4.9 Litres).
• Both Part A and Part B will be in separate tins, rather than bags.
• Termination kits 22kV and higher will now contain 2 x PN 4135.

AusProof originally wanted to have 1 tin at 4.9 Litres (to minimise waste and freight costs). To achieve this, plastic bags were used as packaging in place of tins as they were not big enough. Unfortunately, the bags then caused moisture issues, creating lumps in both Part A (Resin) and
Part B (Hardener). A chemical solution was attempted, but it failed because the manufacturer did not test the compound. This resulted in a large batch that failed to set and exhibited poor insulation readings. Due to all this, the decision was made to go back to the original formula at 4.2 Litres, where Part A and Part B are packaged in separate tins.

To use, follow the below instructions:

1. Mix both Part A (Resin) and Part B (Hardener) in their separate tins.
2. Pour Part A (Resin) and Part B (Hardener) and mix until one colour.
3. Pour compound into product AusProof.
