Remembering Ed Castle

It is with a heavy heart that our long time friend, Ed Castle, and previous colleague passed away on Friday the 1st of May 2020.

Ed had a great sense of humour, enjoyed having a laugh, adored his family, grandchildren and loved by his dogs. Loved by his dogs so much so, that whenever Ed drove the car, his dog would sit in the front seat with him. His first dog, Saffy, would sit beside him with a paw on the gear stick. Followed by Alice, his next dog.

Ed had an important role within AusProof – building the AusProof units and office block. He built Unit 2 in 1996, Unit 3 in 2001, Unit 4 in 2004. His last and largest project was constructing the 4,000m2 building for our manufacturing plant and office block in 2011.

Ed’s family history continues at AusProof, with his son Andrew and grandson Luke currently working in the factory. Matthew Castle was also a long-term employee with AusProof.

We send our deepest condolences to Ed’s wife, Dawn and four children, Matthew, Andrew, Mark and Melissa.
