How Did We Do in 2022?
Posted on December 6th, 2022
As the year draws to a close, we thought we’d take a moment to look back on 2022, and what it has meant for us here at AusProof.
Another year has come and gone, a year full of the good stuff: ups and downs, more downs, trials and tribulations, challenges… Kidding! It wasn’t that bad, there was also plenty of fun, excitement, and positive moments. From discovering new connections and welcoming new team members, to new product releases, and domestic and international growth, let us take you through the cliff-notes of our 2022 story.
Describing 2022, the first word that comes to mind is ‘change’. While having a positive impact on AusProof, there were times when we felt the strain, as this change was not without its challenges. Communicating between different time zones in Australia can be tough, with international communication a different beast entirely. As with all R&D, our team faced trials developing new products and working to enhance existing features, and then there are the inevitable teething issues faced by administration and sales reps when launching a new product. These challenges served a purpose though, giving us a chance to learn and grow.
Speaking of growth, AusProof has welcomed many new pieces to the AusProof puzzle this year across multiple departments, including our new sales representative for New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania – Willy Gomero. A big part of what makes every year exciting is the chance for our staff and sales reps to connect with new customers and reconnect with existing ones, to have a little yarn, discuss their wants and needs, and how AusProof can help them meet their goals.
Our staff are the heart of AusProof, and we were overjoyed to learn that their hard work was being recognised, receiving a nomination for the Gladstone Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Engineering & Manufacturing’ category of the 2022 Best in Business Awards. Well done guys!
It wouldn’t be an AusProof post if we didn’t talk about a product would it? Though development took longer than initially planned, we were excited to release our new range of Aluminium low voltage plugs and receptacles in April this year. In a world where costs are constantly rising, we are happy that with the release of our AES, AS and AL ranges, we have been able to pass cost-savings measures onto our clients.
Oh yeah! Can’t forget our Live Line indicator. 2022 saw this little guy become a standard feature of our high voltage Aluminium range. You may want to watch this space though (I’m giving you the inside scoop here), as there may be more news regarding this feature next year!
All stories must have an epilogue, and for ours we’d like to take a moment to get serious and say to our customers, both old and new, that while all the above-mentioned worked to make 2022 the year that it was, none of it would have been possible without your support. For that, we want to extend our most sincere and heartfelt thank you.
With 2023 just around the corner (in 12 days, but who’s counting?), we look forward to striving for innovation, reliability and pedigree in the new year!
