224BKA | Aluminium High Voltage Open-Cut Coupler

Rated for 425 amps with an operating voltage of 22,000 volts, the 224BKA is AusProof’s flagship coupler.

Re-released for the Australian market in 1996 after redevelopment, the original 224BKA was designed by AusProof Founding Director Philip Marks in 1989. This product was the first of its kind, a genderless coupler rated to withstand up to 22,000 volts. Suitable for use in Non-Ex operational environments, such as open-cut and metalliferous mining, and pumps and tunnelling projects, the 224BKA requires just 4 bolts to open and close the coupler system, and holds an ingress protection rating of IP68, far exceeding the Australian industry standard of IP55.
